Dear ARU Professional Services staff member,
This is an open invitation to you, to join the ARU branch of the trade union UNISON.
UNISON is the only Trade Union at ARU that is recognised by Management and Human Resources to represent and negotiate on behalf of all Professional Staff employed by ARU.
Nationally, UNISON is the UK’s largest union supporting and protecting more than 1.4 million working people, and offers a huge range of benefits to our members.
Simply put, being a member of a Trade Union is the best way of you protecting your rights at work.
Over the years, UNISON officials have been the working voice for Professional Staff at ARU in all aspects that affect working conditions. We scrutinise all aspects of planned changes to ARU operations, from HR Policy changes to restructures, from staff disciplinaries to staff regrading requests, and hold ARU accountable wherever necessary.

Our membership base is growing, and with more members behind us, our collective voice is getting even stronger. ARU do not have access to membership lists and you do not have to disclose you are a member to your Line Manager or Management (often the first ARU know is when we walk in to the room alongside you.)

The subscriptions rates scale depending on your salary, and start from £1.30 a month.
